Mastafaktor are a very interesting duo. In a 'Jazzy take away' Ep they suggest a new vision of contemporary jazz shuffled to electronica. Taking the cue from samples of the winds and jazzed drums, Mastafaktor transport us to the world of techno passing over the pop to many roots genre. 'Avocado Nigiri' is a fantastic disc where every change drags us to the producers minds paying attention to a real need of a genuine and innovative dance hall. 'We Jazz' is a fine, subtle piece where jazz seems to enter the streets of our electronic heart unexpectedly, just like that and like it was nothing. 'Take One' closes the circle under the form of a hybrid techno pop adapted for adventurous and demanding listeners. Kjofols remix on 'Avocado Nigiri' is an incredible union of jazz, classical music and techno, with unpredictable takeoffs and bizarre mixes of instrumental electronics. In the end Moodymanc on the same piece suggests a remix where the drums are recorded strictly live maintaining a hard emotional impact and adapting on any dance floor.
